TRAI has said that the "one-time entry fees" Airtel charged from subscribers to switch over to a new plan on August 26 was in violation of existing rules. Airtel has been asked to refund these fees to subscribers.
TRAI also directed Idea Cellular to refund fees it had charged from subscribers in Gujarat to migrate them to a new plan.
