Airtel has started a new service by which you can send an SMS to a person and ask him to pay for it. This works just like a collect call. When you send the message you have to prefix 2 to the mobile number. The recipient will get an SMS telling him that you have sent a message. If he wants to accept your SMS he simply has to reply to the message. The recipient will get charged Rs. 2 if he decides to accept the SMS.
It is useful when you have to send an urgent SMS and don't have the money or for someone who wants to keep their monthly spend down and still send an SMS to someone.
