Airtel launches BlackBerry

Airtel today announced that is launching Research In Motion's BlackBerry wireless handheld. The service comes with 'always-on' high-speed connectivity, enabling customers to be always connected with their office networks and the Internet. Thus, corporate customers can now access their e-mails, organisers and their office intranet on the move. With high-speed connectivity the data is always kept up-to-date.

Airtel has launched the BlackBerry models 7730, 7230 & 6230. The prices range between Rs. 18,990 & Rs. 32,990. The service will cost between Rs 1,799 and Rs 2,799 depending on the usage pattern.

The BlackBerry has been simultaneously launched in 13 cities. Airtel has upgraded its network to enable 'always-on' connectivity for these handhelds.
