Full talktime is now available on all recharges above Rs. 3350. This scheme is valid till December 18, 2004.
You can avail of the "Local Pack" and call local GSM mobiles at Rs. 1/min. The monthly rental for this scheme is Rs. 25. To activate the pack SMS LOCAL to 170. Airtel is also offering a "Combo Pack" with which you get reduced STD rates as well. The charges for the Combo pack are Rs. 50/month.
With this new scheme you can make a Jodi between your existing number and a new Airtel prepaid connection. After buying a new connection just dial *146# from your number to make a Jodi with the new number. Between the Jodi:
Also when you recharge the talktime is shared between the two numbers and the validity remains the same for both numbers. You can recharge only with Rs. 540 vouchers and above.
Also the Jodi can only be between numbers of the same series.
Airtel has announced a Rs. 200 talktime bonus for users who stay active till Feb. 2005. To avail of this bonus, the subscriber has to recharge with a voucher of Rs. 331 or more between Nov. 1 to Nov. 30, 2004. After that you have to stay active (i.e. recharge before your card expires), till Feb. 28, 2005. By Mar. 1, 2005 the subscriber will get Rs. 150 for local SMS and Rs. 50 free talktime. The Rs. 150 for SMS have to be used between Mar. 1 and Apr. 30.
Now you can send local person-to-person SMS at just Rs. 0.60 per SMS (as against Rs. 1.50 per SMS.)
There is a monthly rental of Rs. 35/- for this service. To activate this service SMS "PSMS" to 170 (toll-free).
If you send more than 40 SMS/month you should go for this scheme. As an example:
